International Applicants

Foreign students who receive the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree are eligible to sit for the bar exam in every United States jurisdiction; in the same manner as U.S. students receiving the J.D. degree. In contrast, LL.M. graduates are eligible to take the bar examination in only a small number of U.S. jurisdictions.

The J.D. degree also provides more thorough preparation for the bar examination resulting in a greater chance of passing the first time. More
