David C. Beavans, Esq. received his BA from the University of California at Davis in 1992. In 1995, George Washington University awarded him both an MBA and a Masters in International Affairs. Mr. Beavans then spent several years with the US State Department developing the small and medium business sectors in Central and Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union.

 

Professor Beavans returned to law school and graduated cum laude from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2008. While at Thomas Jefferson, Mr. Beavans was asked to write an article on corporate privacy rights for the Thomas Jefferson Law Review Journal. Professor Beavans was president of the award winning Alternative Dispute Resolution competition team, and was a founding member of the TJSL Sailing Club.

 

Professor Beavans is the managing attorney of the Law Offices of David C. Beavans, APC, located in San Diego, California. He manages a staff and four attorneys, as well as his own caseload. The firm focuses primarily on family law, but also practices general civil litigation, both state and federal. The California State Bar has awarded him “Specialist” status in the area of family law.

 

Professor Beavans serves on the Board of Directors for the Baras Foundation, and is the Vice President of the TJSL Alumni Association. In his spare time he reads, enjoys gourmet cheeseburgers, and sails.
